Welcome to the Historic Fairfield Inn, the most authentic Inn in the Gettysburg area. I want to introduce you to the history and hospitality that our inn and tavern has been offering for over 260 years. The Inn is one of the five longest continuously operating Inns in America.

We have ample parking for motor coaches. And special packages available, including Adams County experience packages in partnership with the Hilton Garden Inn for lodging, the Adams County Winery for a tour and tasting.

      • General Lee's Luncheon

        What would you feed over 40,000 retreating, tired and hungry Confederate Soldiers?

        On the afternoon of July 4, 1863, General Robert E. Lee retreated West through the town of Fairfield stopping at The Fairfield Inn for food and supplies. Today, guests of The Fairfield Inn can enjoy the same meal the Confederate Generals dined on during their infamous retreat West. The menu selections are from recipes that have been handed down from Innkeeper to Innkeeper for generations.
